Wicklow Way Wines is Ireland’s first producer of premium, small-batch fruit wines handcrafted from locally sourced berries.
At Wicklow Way Wines, we create handcrafted, sustainable wines using Irish berries—capturing the essence of the land in every bottle. Móinéir, our award-winning range, is a celebration of nature, flavour, and the paths less travelled.
Pamela from Ireland and Brett from the USA met far from home and followed a shared path that brought them from California back to the Irish countryside with their young family. Along the way, their lives were shaped by adventure, music, engineering, and a growing passion for food and nature. Settling in Wicklow, the idea of crafting a truly Irish wine began to take root.
Inspired by the fresh, aromatic berry wines they discovered in California, Pamela and Brett began experimenting with local elderberries and blackberries from the surrounding meadows. Their curiosity turned into a quiet obsession: could they craft a wine that was not only Irish, but expressive of the land itself? With patience and persistence, they learned the delicate craft of berry winemaking—fuelled by creativity and care.
Born from love of Irish nature and food, Móinéir is a wine unlike any other—crafted not from grapes, but from strawberries, blackberries, and elderberries grown in Irish soils. Each limited edition wine is a reflection of the landscape, made sustainably and with deep respect for the environment. From our first bottle launched at Bloom 2016 to today, our mission remains the same: to offer a taste of Ireland’s wild side, from meadow to glass.
